Errors: p. 53, middle photo is second #4 not first #4;
Review: This is THE reference for the EBT fan. It is the only source to
authoritatively document the railroad from the discovery of coal in the region.
The only negative is that it has negligible
coverage of the railroad since the 1960's, though this era is well documented
elsewhere.

Errors: #12 was the first, not last Mikado
Review: This tape covers special excursion operations for the Valley
Forge Narrow Gauge Convention. Only #15 is running excursion
and M-1, M-4 and #17 are brought out for static display. The tape recites many
locomotive specs but does not explain the date or significance of the event
in EBT operations.

Errors:
Review: This tape covers excursion era operations and status of the EBT. Three
segments cover EBT weekend operation, dormant parts of the line, and the
Fall Spectacular. It includes interviews with Lee Rainey and Stanley Hall
and a tour of the shops. The tape places a much needed emphasis on the
precarious nature of the line and the need to preserve it. The
cinematography on the tape is excellent.

Notes: Available from the Steamtown Bookstore or Gandy Dancer Videos
Why no mention of #14?
Errors:
Review: This tape covers both normal and spectacular operations. #12, #15, #17
and M-1 are running excursions and M-5 makes a rescue run to retrieve #12 and
train. The Silver Sightseer, M-3, the Spider and the pump hadcar are on static
display. Again the tape covers specs but not the railroad. This tape is
short but packs much more action than its hour long predecessor.

Errors:
Review: This tape is very well researched. The first part covers the history
of the line using still photos and later film from the 30's through 50's. This
film alone makes the tape worth buying. The film quality on the documentation
of the current line was a bit disappointing. This tape makes an excellent
companion with "The East Broad Top, From the Camera of Emery Gulash".

Errors: Shirleysburg is initially misidentified as Shirleysville,

Review: This video copies 16mm color footage from 1953, 60, 63, 76, 77 and
covers the line from Mount Union to Rockhill Furnace.
I was dissappointed to see no coverage south of Rockhill, but
the sound and picture are great. Coverage is about equally weighted
to each year.
