This cast stone building housed the coalfield offices of the Rockhill Iron and Coal Company. It is similar in construction to the Robertsdale Station, the RI&C Post Office and the Mount Union Enginehouse.

Today the first floor houses the US Post Office for Robertsdale and has been well maintained.
