This machine is used to pump water from the reservior on Jordan Creek to Resevior Ponds on the side of Jacks Mountain. Those ponds supply water for the three standpopes in the yard that fill the locomotive tenders. The motor (generator) which powers it now is likely not original and the pump was run from the overhead shafts.
