The 1998 East Broad Top Railroad Fall Spectacular will be held October 10 and 11. All four steam locomotives and the M-1 are scheduled to operate. Usually M-6 and M-7 appear as well.
Fares Adult Child (2-11) Passenger Train, Mixed Train and Shade Gap Picnic train $10.00 $7.50 M-1 Gas-Electric ride $25.00 $25.00 One Day Pass (Saturday) $50.00 $35.00 One Day Pass (Sunday) $40.00 $25.00 A one day pass entitles the purchacer to ride any regular steam powered trains (excluding the M-1 Gas Electric train) on that day or days, as space is available
The below schedule is based on the 1997 schedule, with known revisions for 1998. Times may vary by about 10 minutes.

- Passenger Train
A train of all the EBT's fully enclosed cars, except cabooses: combines 14 and 15, coach 8 and parlor 20.- Shade Gap Picnic Train
A train of all open or open sided passenger cars: boxcar 175, flatcars 107, 117 and 123, flatcar 119 and caboose 28.- Mixed Train A mix of non-passenger and open passenger cars: Tanker 116, boxcar 181, hopper 1000, flatcar 111 and caboose 27.
- Special M-1 Gas-Electric Trip
M-1 self propelled rail car only, seating in both its passenger and freight compartments.
This is the only time of year to ride the M-1
